Purpose: This paper aims to study the situation of conscience and moral disengagement, differences in demographic variables and the relationship between them of junior high school students.Methods: Using adolescent conscience scale and adolescent moral disengagement scale to 660 junior high school students from changsha and chenzhou,Research results:(1) Junior high school students are in good conscience, and it’s significant difference on grades and student cadres, while no significant differences on gender and single-child.In particular, junior three students have lower level of conscience; student cadres have significantly higher conscience level than the average students; girls’ level of responsibility is significantly higher than boys.(2) The situation of moral disengagement in junior students is good, and it’s significant difference on gender and grade,but no significant differences in student cadres and single-child. In particular, boys has a significantly higher level of moral disengagement than girls; junior three students has the highest level of moral disengagement; moral defense score of student leaders is significantly lower than average students.(3) Junior students’ conscience and moral disengagement have significant negative correlation. In particular,conscience and its dimensions have significant negative correlation with moral disengagement.And the integrity dimension of conscience has the highest correlation to moral disengagement compared to other dimensions。The moral disengagement and its dimensions have significant negative correlation with conscience,and euphemistic label dimension of moral disengagement to conscience compared to other dimensions.(4) Conscience and more disengagement of junior students can mutually predict. In particular, by controlling the demographic variables of gender and grade, conscience and its dimensions still have significantly negative predict ability to moral disengagement, likewise controlling the demographic variables of Grades and student cadres, the moral disengagement and its dimensions still have significantly negative predict ability to conscience.Conclusion: junior students have a good situation of conscience and moral disengagement. Their conscience are significant different in grades and student cadres, so as their moral disengagement on gender and grade. Moral disengagement and conscience of junior students were significantly negative correlation and they can predict each other.
