Research on the evaluation and promotion of College Students’ independent learning ability is a hot issue that many scholars and teachers are concerned about today. It is also an important part of education reform in our country. With the arrival of the information age, the social demand for talent is also getting higher and higher, how to act on one’s own study, and constantly improve their own quality and ability should be the focus of attention of College students. However, judging from the current situation of the literature, our independent learning study mostly concentrated in the primary and middle school students, study of college students are generalities, The existing index evaluation system is very difficult to make an objective assessment of the situation of College Students’ independent learning ability, and it also affects the quality of higher education teaching.In the whole process of growing up, education is a long-term task. It is far from enough that contemporary college students only rely on the knowledge of learning in the classroom, and the modern education idea is more and more attention to the development of students’ quality education and the development of comprehensive skills. In this paper, we analyze the existing index system of College Students’ independent learning ability, reexamine the evaluation point of view, improve the unreasonable parts, establishes a set to conform to the status quo of China’s colleges and universities evaluation index system, helping students to consider and examine various factors affecting their learning. To find the most suitable for the characteristics of their own learning strategies, so as to achieve better independent learning effect.Based on this, this study is divided into the following aspects:1. The comprehensive introduction on the selected topic significance and the background, and then combined with the research results of experts and scholars at home and abroad, points out the ideas and innovations that college students’ independent learning evaluation and improvement of capability research of University independent learning ability development of practical significance.2.To define the related concepts of the evaluation and promotion of CollegeStudents’ independent learning ability, master and understand the theoretical basis of autonomous learning ability of College students, and points out that in the Internet age influence on college students’ autonomous learning ability of colleges and universities.3. College students’ autonomous learning ability index construction principles and standards, scientific and rational allocation of index and weight setting, establish a set of suitable for China’s need to the development of college students autonomous learning ability evaluation index system.4. The combination of questionnaire survey, through the empirical analysis on College Students’ overall independent learning situation make evaluation, from college students in different grades, discipline, gender difference, and according to the result of the comparison is proposed to improve the students’ autonomous learning ability and suggestions and improvement measures, for the students’ individual growth provides some references.Through this study can prove that: the construction of college students autonomous learning ability evaluation and promotion index system can overall reflect the students’ autonomous learning characteristics and college students’ independent learning ability to expand the new field, from on the other hand, to make up for the college students’ independent learning competence deficiencies, provide a scientific index but also for the study of College Students’ literacy is the ability to issue, and actively promote the comprehensive ability of ascension, but also enrich the teachers’ classroom design, improve the quality of education in Colleges and universities.
