Junior high school students are at a significant time in their life. Low self-esteem which is common in this community has great influence on students’ physiology and psychology. Further more, the influence is long-term and continuous. So it is urgent to solve the problem of junior middle school students’low self-esteem.Positive psychotherapy has changed the perspective of solving the problem in the past. Starting from the positive qualities of the visitors, the consultants explore the advantages of their positive qualities through encouraging and guiding methods. So that the students can continuously experience their positive advantages and positive emotional experience which is brought by positive personality, meanwhile, their psychological problems improved.This study aimed to verify the positive psychological therapy intervention effect on junior middle school student’ inferiority psychological problems. The essay used the "inferiority complex scale" screening out five junior high school students who existence of inferiority problem.Positive psychotherapy intervene the visitors mainly from three aspects, such as cultivate positive emotions and experiences, cultivate positive personality quality and build positive social support system and so on. Through orderly fourteen steps help self-abased visitors completed the transition from inferiority to confident. It has greatly promoted the cultivation and development of the positive quality, and promoted the development of individual mental health education. Among them, it also uses the VIA-IS to find its positive character advantage.The result shows that the use of positive psychotherapy can solve the problem of students’inferiority mentality. Positive psychotherapy which focuses on individual’s positive advantages is more conducive to mobilize students’inner energy, play their initiative and enhance their self-confidence. Practice has proved that positive psychotherapy affirmed its important role in promoting the mental health for junior high school students by having a intervention for their inferiority complex psychological problems.
