That is to promote the development of secondary vocational students’ mental health by improving the parenting style.Research findings are as follows:1. Boys scored significantly higher than girls; At the same time, there are significant age differences appearing on the issue of the severity of parental punishment; Those students who evaluate themselves great in academic performance and interpersonal skills scored significantly higher in the aspect of the positive parenting style like emotional warmth and understanding, but significantly lower in the aspect of negative parenting style like severe parental punishment and rejection and denial than those of the students with poor academic performance and interpersonal skills.2. There is a distinct correlation between family parenting style and mental health of students in secondary vocational school. If the secondary vocational school students grow up with the positive parenting style background, the probability of psychological problems is small. On the contrary, there is a greater possibility of the emergence of psychological problems if they are brought up under the negative parenting style. The following countermeasures are put forward on the basis of the above research results:1. For the male students in the secondary vocational school, parents should abandon the negative parenting style, such as rejection and denial, severe punishment, and give them emotional warmth and understanding; For younger students, parents should give more emotional care and love, less interference in their lives, and create conditions to develop their ability to live independently. Parents should supply different parenting styles according to the different stages of development. Parents should be more tolerant, understanding and encouraging to those students with poor self elevation and instill less criticism, blame and denial to them; And for those students with poor interpersonal skills, parents should create a warm family atmosphere and build a harmonious family relationship.2. For girls of secondary vocational schools, parents should give more emotional care and warmth and make sure they get a sense of happiness from the family; For secondary vocational students in different grades, parents should carry out targeted education based on different psychological problems students facing; For students with poor academic performance, parents should pay more attention on seeking children’s’ flash points and showing them more praise, encouragement and recognition to help them regain confidence; And for those students with poor interpersonal skills, parents, starting with the improvement of family parenting, should gradually improve children’s personality and interpersonal skills.3. Parents of secondary vocational students should raise awareness and pay attention to their children’s mental health; Parents should make more efforts to create a warm, harmonious family atmosphere; Parents should correct attitude to education and improve education pattern; In addition, Parents still need to work harder to improve the parenting style and promote the development of children’s mental health.
