As the compulsory education curriculum reform was deepened, the understanding of the nature of education and the development of teaching practice were also deepened. Educators realize that implementing the construction concept teaching should be a basic value orientation of chemistry teaching and practice. It is also an important way to effectively promote the all-round development of students scientific literacy.Students turn to concept construction from knowledge, through the study of chemical course and the mastering from the chemical point of view to understand and explain the actual problem.Besides, problem solving is an important research field and goal of modern cognitive psychology. The orientation of cultivating students’ consciousness and ability to solve problems is also the key target of science education.Students using chemical basic ideas to solve practical problems is not only the inevitable demand for students scientific literacy of the education reform, but also the basic requirement of the civic diathesis of modern social development for the future. Surveys suggests that it’s difficult for many teachers to keep balance between the pressure of the exam-oriented education and the cultivation of scientific literacy.This paper tries to penetrate basic ideas to solve practical problems using chemical methods and ideas in the process of education, to find out some real and effective teaching strategies.This study includes the following seven parts, briefly summarized as follows:The first part is to clarify the cause of the selected topic. The author will analyze the teaching value of solving the problem with ideas, ask questions and expound the research content and research methods.The second part will show the theoretical basis of this research. Basic concepts and theories of Chemistry and the related education psychology theories which promote chemistry concept formation will be discussed.The third part is talking about the actual psychological mechanism to resolve the problems, including the summary of practical problems, the influencing factors of students to solve the problems, and the models to solve the problem.The fourth part is to put forward the teaching strategies. In order to cultivate the concepts to solve problems, reasonable and practical basic teaching strategies are put forward.The fifth part will show the teaching design. The author expounds how to use basic ideas to solve chemical problems in academic, nature, and life, respectively taking the atomic accumulation model of high school, metal crystal, simple extraction, classification and its application as an example.The sixth part is about the teaching implementation and evaluation. Through surveys of students’ feedback and teachers’ feedback, the feasibility of ideas to solve problems are clearly analyzed.The seventh part is conclusion and prospects. The author finds the shortcomings in the study, and tries to improve them and reflect actively.
