The arrival of the Internet Age has made people’s learning style quietly changed. Khan Academy,TED, a new form of teaching is the result of the reform of changing the traditional teaching way. Therefore, micro-lecture tends to be another breakthrough for exploring new teaching modes in the Internet era and the micro-era. This paper focuses on micro-lecture from its research background and then elucidates its definition and characteristics in detail, that is to say, micro-lecture is an online video course elaborated designed by teachers who tends to use a visualized, multi-learning methods to illustrate the teaching link or the target knowledge. It is featured by its short time, condensed content, small capacity, mobilizing study and initiative study. In the process of definition elucidation, the paper explicates that the teaching mode of micro-lecture has clear teaching aims, straight-forward theme compared with the traditional class, and will help the students to achieve great teaching effectiveness on self-study and personalized learning. We find that the development of micro-lecture has a historic inevitability thanks to today’s fragmental reading habit in the Internet era and the change of education receiver. Besides, the new Chinese curriculum theoretically provides more space for micro-lecture application. First, micro-lecture will maximize the revival of the pure Chinese from the aspect of Chinese characteristics; second, for practical teachers, micro-lecture will revolutionize traditional teaching mode and research mode and even enhance the specialized development of teachers; third, micro-lecture will satisfy personalized Chinese learning for the students. Considering all these favorable factors, it is important to make a good micro-lecture. The paper begins to discourse micro-lecture in detail with its script design and assignments, then further study its teaching application effectiveness on flipped classroom, lead-in questions and knowledge exploration. By adopting these applications, we hope to maximize the students’ enthusiasm for Chinese curriculum and discover their study potential. Meanwhile, as the further study of micro-lecture in China, we find that it shows both a promising future and the predicaments in the introduction to Chinese curriculum, which makes us to contemplate how to coordinate the fixed exam-oriented pattern of high school Chinese curriculum with the diversity of online teaching. What’s more, we should pay enough attention to the excessive emphases on its form, technology and scale in the process of making and application. And all these predicaments and existing problems will provide a large space for further research and combination of theory and practice.At present, the teaching mode of the micro teaching is in the upsurge of teaching experiment. It is hoped that the research of this thesis can provide a new impetus for the high school Chinese language teaching.
