Competitive ability system is a complicated dynamic system composes of many elements. This research makes a thorough and deep study on competitive ability system, redefining the competitive ability system and setting forth the function and attribute orientation of the elements, in order to construct the hierarchy of needs of competitive ability demand theory and class methane molecular structure balloon model which is much closer to the nature of competitive ability system. The model, with higher practical application value, scientifically and intuitively presents the mutual influence between each factor in the mechanism and the essential property of competitive ability system. Adopting the research methods of literature, expert interview, questionnaire, grounded theory and mathematical statistics, the research draws the main conclusions are as follows:1.his research redefines the definition of "competitive ability system" whose concept was previously fuzzy. It holds that competitive ability system, as a subsystem of sports training system, is dominated by sports intelligence, with the core of mental ability and the main body of physical ability, athletic skills and tactics ability. It is a organic integration for the purpose of athletes to creating excellent performance in sports contests.2.This research will divide the elements of competitive ability system into three levels, which are basic level, practice level and theory level, as well as five levels of needs which are movement monitoring needs, sports practice needs, epistemology research needs, meta-theory research needs and ontology research needs. In each level, element of each class interact with each other to constitute a network level, constructing the four-dimensional pyramid of the hierarchy of needs of competitive ability demand theory to intuitively presents the relations of each element.3. This research constructs the class methane molecular structure balloon model and defines it:it composes of five elements which are mental ability, physical ability, athletic skills, tactics ability and sports intelligence; it emphases the mobility, complementarity and implication of each element; it highlights the interference of the external environment and system adaptability; it stresses on organic dynamic structure model with the stability and conformity of the system as a whole.4.The class methane molecular structure balloon model has four essential attribute characteristics which are the stability against interference, the uniformity and immediacy of "compensation effect", the overall promotion of "long board effect" and the core and involvement of mental ability.
