Research On The Influence Of College Students’ Physical Self-respect Toward Dress Satisfaction

On the basis of research about physical self-respect, physical satisfaction and dressing relevant literature,combined with the characteristics of college students’ dress,I construct a model for the impact of physical self-respect toward dress satisfaction.On the basis of previous studies,I establish a dress satisfaction scale according to the open-ended interviews of college students’ dress satisfaction and ralated theory. Using the method of questionnaire survey to obtain data of college students’ physical self-respect, physical satisfaction and dressing satisfaction,using the SPSS software to analyze survey data, get the following conclusion:(1)There are significant difference in gender between college students’ physical self-respect and physical satisfaction;There is no difference in gender on college students’ dressing satisfaction but it has difference on the garment costs each month;(2) There are significant positive correlations between the college students’ physical self-respect and physical satisfaction;there are significant positive correlations between the college students’ physical self-respect and dressing satisfaction;there are significant positive correlations between the college students’ physical satisfaction and dressing satisfaction;(3) College students’ physical self-respect can positive predict dressing satisfaction,college students’ physical satisfaction can positive predict dressing satisfaction,physical satisfaction in partial intermediary role between college students’ physical self-respect and dressing satisfaction;(4) There is a difference between male college students and female college students on the model of physical self-respect toward dress satisfaction.In male college students’ structure model,physical condition,physical attractiveness and physical self-worth of physical self-respect through the sports ability of physical satisfaction to influence dress satisfaction,while,in female college students’ structure model,physical condition,physical attractiveness and physical qualityof physical self-respect through the facial features and shape features of physical satisfaction to influence dress satisfaction.
