Reviewing the literature, the paper define the concept of digital storytelling and introduces its development at home and abroad. In addtion, the paper summarizes its authoring tools, process and elements in subject teaching, including the detailed analysis and design of how to make the digital storytelling teaching in chemistry classroom teaching of middle school.Through the classroom teaching practice, the paper explores the feasibility of digital storytelling in chemistry teaching of middle school. With two questionnaires of students, it makes the statistical data analysis. The research shows that the application of digital storytelling in chemistry teaching of middle school is feasible. As a new teaching form, digital storytelling has gotten a high recognition, students like it.In classroom teaching, the application of digital storytelling provides a nice experience for students’ vision and hearing and inspires their interests and enthusiasm in chemistry learning. Except for these, it plays a promoting role in their understanding and memory of chemical knowledge and has a positive effect on the cultivation of their innovative thinking and abilities.
