Digital storytelling is a visual tool for learning. This thesis attempts touse digital storytelling to promote students’ reflection. By designing theprogram of learning digital storytelling, this thesis explores theeffectiveness of using digital storytelling to promote students’ reflectionin practice. This research fulfills the following tasks:Firstly, the thesis gave a systematic sorting to the current researchesof digital storytelling at home and abroad and explored the methods topromote the student’s reflection.Secondly, this research is based on “the Educational Practice ofMathematics Department in Shanghai Normal University”. The authorcreates a platform of digital storytelling and provided comprehensiveinstruction for students.Thirdly, the author designed a learning program of digitalstorytelling called “I think, therefore I am” and takes students of the2009Grade from College of Mathematics and Science at Shanghai NormalUniversity as study object, who participated the optional courses ofInstructional Design of Middle School Mathematics, carrying out therelated research in practice.Fourthly, experimental results have showed the effectiveness ofusing digital storytelling to promote students’ reflection and put forwardrelated application strategies:1、 Using ingenious methods to stimulate students motivation.2、 The students participate in the creation of the digitalstorytelling.3、 Using the three-dimensional evaluation system ofself-assessment, mutual-assessment and professional-assessment.Finally, the paper has summarized the results and innovation andproposed the problems and the further research. |
