Chemistry is a discipline which is closely related to life, research on thematic inquiry teaching of chemistry theme based on Junior Middle School under the idea of life, not only conform to the concept of the new curriculum, but also to achieve sustainable development of students. On the basis of defining the core concepts, this paper summarizes the domestic and foreign research status of this kind teaching. Research the present teaching situation of chemistry in junior middle school and the content of life, the feeling and the evaluation of the students in the teaching of the subject-type. Based on the theory of life education, the theory of constructivism and the theory of inquiry learning, put forward the implementation strategy of inquiry teaching in junior middle school chemistry under life concepts of teaching objectives, teaching situation, teaching content, teaching methods and teaching evaluation process. Provides a research on the theme of the development for the latest achievements, local and community resources, students’life knowledge and so on. Research shows:carry out the thematic inquiry teaching of chemistry in junior middle school under the idea of life, improve the students’learning chemistry enthusiasm and interest, mobilize the enthusiasm of learning. Students is more profound of the relevant content of the memory and more thorough understanding of life and science, more achievements in the study of learning. Such teaching can also improve the level of teacher’s comprehensive business, so that teachers can gain a sense of achievement.
