Comprehensive inquiry lesson, part of the high school setting, reflects the ideological and political characteristic of the new curriculum, which is also a difficult process in implementation&evaluation of teaching. Jiangsu Procince, the new high school curriculum, having comprehensively promoted overall from2005, is currently in post-curriculum period, and it has entered a crucial stage. My study selects a typical Northern city, hometown of Premier Zhou Enlai-Huai’an Chuzhou District (former county Huai’an), with compulsory Political life Ⅱ as a breakthrough for the research, objectively analyses and evaluates the main problems in compulsory Political life II, and targets to make practical suggestions and measures for the experation of teaching, meant for exploring the ideological and political teaching reform in Northern high schools, trains modern citizens, enriches students’ political life experience and put their knowledge into use correctly, guides them to love the political life, and live a healthy and happy, free and responsible, intelligent and creative life, promotes social political civilization, so as to narrow the reginal gap in education and achieve equalization of education, all of which contribute to building a harmonious society.
