As a subject which combines theory and practice tightly, it has great meaning of rising students’ scientific literacy, training students’ learning ability, and strengthen students’ patriotism. Thus, starting from a micro perspective, this paper took specific teaching activities in Political class as research basis, and specific teaching reform activities in Political class in the investigated school on the background of new curriculum reform as the point of penetration. Having observed the situation of maintaining the students’ main body position in this school, companied by basic education theories, this study looked deep into the maintaining of students’ main body position in Political classes. During the study process, methods including interview, observation, specific social experiments, and etc. were taken. I conducted questionnaire survey and in person interview with the teachers and students who are directly related to this thesis. At the same time, I observed and thought through the model school’s definite teaching case, and carefully put scientific theory into practice. By combining the theory and practice together, I specifically discussed how to maintain students’ main body position in Political class. My study found that the hardship of maintaining this position mainly came from the existence of traditional teaching concept, and was pushed further by the backward mechanism of classroom instruction and judging system. Besides,restricted by the same appeals from school, parents, and students, the study environment is locked in classroom so that students lack necessary social practice. In sum, these problems are intensively reflected on teacher, society and student, the three main elements themselves in traditional teaching system.So that, after further careful research, I believed that in order to maintain students’ main body position in Political class, the most crucial part is the transference of teachers. In detail, teachers firstly need to establish a correct viewpoint of students and respect their master status. Then, teachers should organize and participate more in practical activities and lead the students to play their subject role. Next, changing of traditional teacher-student role ought to be paid attention and a harmonious mutual relationship should be established. Finally, we need to reform the traditional judging standard and lay emphasis on the training of students’ practical ability.Recent research of the new curriculum and its reform has shown a picture of "contention of a hundred schools of thought". Besides, the research about reform in the middle school political class has also got some achievements. However, along with the diversification of relative perspective and content, there are still a lot availabilities to explore.By the means of combining theory and practice, and from the micro, practical thinking angle, I provided several specific solutions. Taking teachers as the breakthrough point in a complicated situation, these solutions focused on details, and thus pushed the development of pedagogy research in specific practical problems in certain areas. As this thesis is based on empirical studies, holding the main application goal of coming from experience and going to practice, the main application value of the subject would be reflected in the specific teaching practice. Influenced by the idea of new curriculum reform, I hope this work can push the transfer of the working style of the political teachers in middle schools. Specifically, this study provided certain reference to the transfer of the main teaching body in middle school’s political lessons from teachers to diversification, and thus made the maintenance of students’ main body position to be truly achieved.
