Under the guidance of new curriculum reform, high school music class starting in 2003 took the pop music is introduced into the high school music classroom, music teaching material teaching content changes, but little change. And this decade, huanggang, hubei province area does not attach importance to the role of popular music music class in high school, for less in music teaching, it is difficult to let the high school students feel the fun of learning pop music in the music class, and even many teachers just put the pop music of high school music classroom teaching, as a music appreciation course, as part of the still focus on the pop music appreciation, it is difficult to establish good music platform, more won’t make pop music really into high school music class.This article is a review and reflection on the teaching process of paper, to study in huanggang, hubei province high school music classroom teaching, the research of pop music in the music classroom teaching teaching situation.
