Research On Competitiveness Promotion Path Of SD Polytechnic College

In this article, the author analyzes the current competition environment of higher vocational colleges based on Porter’s five model, core competence theory, methods of PEST and takes SD Polytechnic College as an example to give the research ideas and suggestions to improve the competitiveness of higher vocational colleges.The results show that the higher vocational colleges are increasing year by year and applied universities are accelerating the reform with national policy support rapid transformation of the economic structure and the gradually increase of social recognition. In the face of such a new situation, how to have accurate understanding and positioning of oneself, to develop a competitive strategy, to find the way to improve competitiveness, to find a characteristic way of running a school is the key to success in higher vocational colleges.In this paper, the competition environment of the current higher vocational colleges is analyzed by using the five models from existing and potential competition, substitution threat, social awareness and enterprise recognition. The author makes statistical analysis of the development of higher vocational colleges in Shandong province where SD vocational college is located, the external macro environment of SD vocational college is elaborated through PEST analysis method from the government policy, economic situation, social development and technology research. Current strengths, weaknesses and opportunities of SD vocational college are concluded by analyzing the internal and external environment of the college through the SWOT analysis method. After the above analysis, the author finally makes competitiveness development strategy for SD vocational college and expounds the ideas and suggestion to implement the competitiveness ascension.At present, it is important period and stage for the development of higher vocational education in our country. Facing the challenging economic times, the great challenge of adjustment of industrial structure upgrade, reform and innovation of vocational education in higher vocational colleges plays an important role in the development. SD vocational college seizes the opportunity of developing higher vocational education, enhances its connotation construction, improves school conditions, expands the scale of higher education, improves the quality of school-running and finds a characteristic and internationalized education. As one of the best schools in Shandong province, SD vocational college become the province’s top 15 from bottom in the three years. This is the reason why it is worth studying.Finally, according to the research results of the environment of higher vocational colleges, the author summarizes the article and put forward some ideas and suggestions on establishing core competence strategy, integrating teaching resources, building brand disciplines and characteristic majors, innovating campus culture construction and internationalizing the education service and so on.
