Exercise course is an important part of physics teaching in senior high school. It is to extend the teaching of concepts, principles and formulas, which is also throughout the physics teaching process. In the new curriculum reform, the main purpose is to improve national scientific literacy and the main task is to cultivate students’ innovative ability, the aim is to enhance the classroom effectiveness. However, due to the tight course schedule and the heavy academic pressure, the implementation of effective classroom is not optimistic in the practical physics exercise course. Therefore, this thesis carries out a study about effective teaching of physics exercise course in senior high school, which aims at providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for the effective implementation of teaching.This thesis is divided into six parts. The first part mainly presents background, significance and purpose of the study, discussing some basic ideas of effective teaching and exercise teaching. Furthermore, this part analyses the primary content of this study and puts forward its research methods. The second part defines the concepts of effective teaching and exercise teaching. This part reviews some theoretical foundation, which includes constructivism, metacognition theory, "zone of proximal development" theory and cognitive load theory. The third part discusses features and functions of effective teaching in physics exercise course from multiple aspects. The fourth part makes an investigation into the current situation of effective exercise teaching. To offer date support and theoretical guidance for the next deep study, the author respectively designs two questionnaires for students and teachers and do the statistical analysis. Combined with the results of the survey analysis and the principles of effective teaching exercises, the fifth part lists a number of strategies and methods of effective teaching in physics exercise course. The sixth part suggests a simple evaluation criteria about effective exercise teaching. At last, this thesis makes a brief summary on the topic and points out some problems and the future study direction.
