People’s talent only can be described fully, when it combine with the background of present. So under the different background,the talent’s evaluation and training standards not the same. Education for all-around development is the original intention of the modern education, which need to cooperate with teaching methods, modern educational technology is an important tool that can not be ignored. And the characteristics of geography requires a higher thinking of students.But students’, in high middle school, abstract thinking has not been fully developed, the realistic education which is dominated by the result has neglected the cultivation of student’s ability. And students’interest has been suppressed.3D technology is a way to use eyes visual deviation presents three-dimensional images of technology, the raise of 3D technology has opened up a new path for geography teaching. Its three-dimensional simulation can meet the new requirements of the new era of talent training, which more favorable to the development of students’ ability and quality. The new curriculum of geography standards and geographical teaching equipped with a standard mentioned in the application of information technology, especially is the application of 3D technology. However, the first-line geography teachers are lack the application of 3D technology. Additional, most schools are lack the basic conditions of 3D technology and incentive policies, which lead to a series of problems, such as lack of 3D geographical course ware development and application of 3D technology rate is low.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part expounds the 3D technology application in the high school geography teaching research background, significance, methods, and research status, the necessity of research on the application of 3D technology has a preliminary understanding.The second part describes the theoretical basis of the application of 3D technology in geography teaching in middle school, to realize the application of 3D technology in middle school geography teaching in the theoretical basis, which conducive to enhancing the understanding of the application of 3D technology.The third part states the advantages of the application of 3D technology in the middle school geography teaching. Combined with the characteristic of geography textbook analysis, proposed application of 3D technology in learning interest and intuitive teaching, cost savings, spatial thinking, key an difficult, map reading ability and to stimulate thinking and seven aspects of advantage, it helps improve the application awareness of 3D technology and boost the development of geography teaching.The fourth part discusses the application and analysis of 3D technology in middle school geography teaching. First of all, through the questionnaire survey, understanding the current application situation of 3D technology in geography teaching in middle school in data collection and analysis. Secondly, based on the present situation of the application of 3D technology to analyze the question, mainly teachers’ awareness, teachers’ knowledge, teachers’technology, course ware development,equipment conditions and training content, and other aspects of the existence of a lot of problems. These analyses can provide a realistic basis for later strategies.The fifth part focuses on the strategy of the application of 3D technology in geography teaching in middle school. From four aspects, makes a deep analysis, such as teachers, technology, investment and training. This part proposes new measures are to be meaningful, which to promote the application of 3D technology in the middle school geography teaching. These measures include raise the teachers’consciousness, analysis 3D hardware and software technology,mine 3D function of geographic information technology software,make 3D geographical course ware more scientifically, increase economic input, carry out training more actively.
