In the process of new curriculum reform, teaching material as the carrier of curriculum implementation, in a specific way to reflect the curriculum standard. The high school biology textbook based on the new curriculum standard, great changes have taken place in the teaching material content and form. Through the comparisons of old and new teaching materials, we can find that the outstanding characteristic of the new teaching material is increased a lot of illustrations resources.Textbook illustrations resources has become an important curriculum resources in biological teaching. This research through the theoretical research and combined with teaching practice, find out the lack of illustrations resources exist in the current teaching materials, and put forward the corresponding optimization strategy, on this basis the optimization of the specific case, make illustration teaching resources to better serve teaching.Biological textbook illustrations resources refers to the biological teaching materials that the content of the text in the argument, contains the teaching information, intuitive image content such as photos, tables, pictures, graphs, generally regarded as is a supplement to the teaching material writing system. Illustration and textbook writing, teaching material resources have unique features and functions, its characteristic is very scientific, objective, richness, interesting, instructive, and moral education. The author uses the interview method and questionnaire survey to investigate the high school biology teachers and students, a thorough understanding of teachers and students for textbook illustrations resource utilization and satisfaction, and the biological three required textbook for senior middle school are carefully read, looking for lack of illustration material resources as well as the optimization strategy proposed laid the theoretical basis and practical basis.This paper through to the high school biology three compulsory textbook illustrations resources for statistics and analysis, find out the existing six missing textbook illustrations resources, against six missing, puts forward the corresponding optimization strategy.
