Trust is an important foundation for the establishment of a social relationship and the improving of social cohesion. Trust is the proper meaning of a harmonious socialist society.On September 10, 2014, the general secretary Xi Jinping in Beijing Normal University delivered a speech- "Being a good teacher for the communist party and the people ", in which he mentioned teachers’ instruction and enlightenment to student should be trustworthy, so that the student can "Make friends with the teacher and believe his doctrine". As we all know, the trust between teachers and students will help college students’ academic progress and comprehensive development; Help teachers inspire dedication, improve education teaching work; Help to talent training quality of ascension and the long-term development of colleges and universities. However, as time changes, the trust between teachers and students have also changed. At the age of new media and information, the trust of teachers’ image, character,knowledge and ability and other aspects of the trust appeared new characteristics. Based on the above background, the university teachers and students as the object, exploring the trust relationship between teachers and students in colleges and universities is important.At present, many scholars have focused on the trust relationship between teachers and students, but existing studies pay more attention to the subjective understanding, than empirical research on the trust between teachers and students relations. And the research depth is not enough. This study selected college students in three universities in zhejiang province as the research objects, which mainly dealed with four issues:(1) To test the present situation of trust relations between teachers and students. By " Teachers’ credibility scale " and " College students trust teacher will scale " to testing college students trust level to teacher’s.(2) To verify the cause of trust relationship between teachers and students. Selected seven variables including demographic characteristics, communication situation, family environment, teacher’s role, social support, security and trust tendency. To investigate its correlation with the trust between teachers and students by comparing the difference, correlation, regression analysis.(3)To analyze and externalize the factors that affect the trust relationship between teachers andstudents.(4) To make relative suggestions. In addition, combining the trust damage survey,creatively put forward the trust-repair strategies.The main conclusions of this study are:(1) Credibility of the teachers and the willingness to trust teachers is still generally high.(2) The trust of students towards teachers’ image 、knowledge、character、ability is high, the relationship and identity dimensions is low.(3) The trust of students towards teachers’ image、knowledge、character、ability is high, but image dimensions of the "third party evaluation", character dimension of "fair, democratic equality", "new knowledge" in the dimension of knowledge, ability dimension of "reflection and innovation ability" credibility is relatively low.(4) The willingness of students’ dependence on teachers is higher, the willingness of students’ expression to teachers is lower.(5) demographic characteristics, the situation of social intercourse, family situation, teachers’ role cognition and social support of five factors have significant differences on the level of trust between teachers and students; A sense of security, trust tendency, these two factors have positive correlation on the level of trust between teachers and students.
