Employment is the weak link of building a socialist harmonious society, to solve the employment problem related to the stability of society and people’s happiness. Students employment issues affecting China’s fundamental problem of technological progress.Through literature, a comprehensive analysis of the employment of college students come to the starting point of combing research questions, namely the extent to which students’employment affected by technological progress. Multivariate model was constructed employment and technological progress in the relationship between university students on the basis of this theory, analysis of financial investments in technology, research and experimental development expenditures, patent grants, technical market turnover of the four variables and the share of total employment in university students the relationship between the proportion. By constructing a multivariate regression model, regression analysis of these variables, the results show that:From a national point of view of technological progress can promote students’ employment, but between different regional influence, the eastern region has a significant role in promoting the role in promoting the western region was weakening. Therefore, improving the quality of their own in favor of college students to give full play to promote the role of technological progress on employment of university students, only highly qualified workforce to master advanced science and technology, while the state and enterprises should also take measures to promote technological progress, attaches great importance to balance each region development.
