Class team management is a new idea based on the modern class management concept and modern class structure. It is kind of comprehensive education and management activities which involves in constant adjustment and coordination.During activities, the chiefteacher should comply with the requirements and principles of the team and take a proper way to develop a successful class team in order to achieve a personal goal, a team goal and a common goal.It is an important research subject to meet the students personalization need to develop. It also helps to comply with the requirement of the new curriculum reform and promote the demands of innovation.We think it plays an important role in the following aspects such as putting forward a new concept of class management, constructing a new class management mode as well as exploring a new management style.Team learning is the base of activity for class team management. In addition, the class team management could carry out effective management for student team learning. That is to say, class learning process is kind of process for cooperative activity between students and teachers, and between all students whether it is teaching activities from the teacher or students’learning activities, interaction activities and social practice activities. Team learning involves all kinds of study. It is an important addition to supplement individual learning and collective learning. It is beyond the independent learning of individuals and other kinds of learning. It provides an opportunity for team members to communicate with each other and complete each other as well as improve each other. Every team member can benefit from it so that they can broaden their horizon. It can contribute to the improvement of the intelligence of each member and the whole team during the interaction. If team learning is the activity base of class team management, likewise, team construction is the organizational foundation of class team management. Class team is a special organization form. It is a reconstitution of group work and class committee. It is kind of class subtraction which is established conciously to avoid the imperfection of the group work and class committee mentioned above. As far as the class team size is concered, it should help team members to make effective interaction. And it also should be mixed up with team members’gender, background, ability and personality. The core issue for class team construction is about how to transform an individual into a team member. There are many ways to transform an individual into a team member. The most effective way is to develop team learning. And the other important way is to carry out team management.In order to prove, enrich and improve this theoretical supposition about the team management, we chose Class 809 in H school for conducting a study. We carried on the practice at class team management from three stages. They are startup phase, execute phase as well as evaluation and encourage phase. Class team management achieved results in three aspects. First, it provided students with a new platform and promoted the students’ personality development. Second, class team management increased the chances for students to learn from each other and then to improve performance as a whole. Third, it motivated students to participate in the team and forstered students’ innovation capacity.However, we found some underlying problems existing in class team management when it comes to our realistic school education and management system. For example, the contradiction between students’academic achievement and personality development, the contradiction between competition and cooperation, and the contradiction between passiveness and enthusiam. In order to solve underlying problems and fully exploit potentials of class team management, it’s necessary for us to renew conceptions of education, reform the educational system, ensure the implemenation of creative school management and enhance teachers’ guidance.
