"Everything is for the students' development" is the core idea and the purpose of the New Curriculum. New Curriculum proposes the idea of "the students are the bases". To ensure the student are developing the correct attitudes and point of views in their study life, it asks to establish the new relationship between the students and the teachers based on the spirits of respect, democracy and development.The special position and the functions of the class advisers determined that the advisers are the most important implementers of New Curriculum. They are also the key driving force for the program to be successful. There are four parts in this outline. First part states the background introduction of this thesis, purpose of the title, basic principles, cultural heritage overview and the methods of research.Part two will state the requirements of the New Curriculum idea for the establishment of the class adviser team. This section will discuss from four different areas: the characteristics of New Curriculum, characteristics of the middle school's class advisers, the requirements of the New Curriculum for the middle school adviser's work functions and the requirements of the New Curriculum for the class adviser team.Part three will survey and analyze the current class adviser's job functions and regulations. The results of survey the Luohu District class advisers were that many class advisers are still "wearing the new shoes and following the old steps". The main causes of this appearance are the foUowings: 1 .Some class advisers don't have enough dedication toward their career. 2.The class advisers are influenced by the traditional mode of thinking. 3.The class advisers need to improve work ethics. 4.Some class advisers are missing the idea of lifelong learning. The main problems in the class adviser team are the folio wings: 1.The current managing structure has hindered the class adviser's functions. 2.The position of the class adviser team was never taken seriously while being faced with the pressure from the proportion of students entering higher school. 3.The training programs of the class adviser are not complete and not scientifically designed or not implemented. 4.School's administrations don't understand the core spirit of the New Curriculum Reformation program. 5.There are lacks of the motivation to the class adviser team.Part four will discuss the development of the class adviser team in the following three major points: 1.Form a professional class adviser team. ①Professional connotation of the class advisers. ②Ensure the professionalism of the class adviser team by establishing scientific training system. 2.Construct an academic type class adviser team. ①Pinpoint the requirements for the academic type team. ②Propose the strategies for constructing the academic team. 3.Take measures to Improve the class adviser team's development ①Try to appoint and employ a group of professional class advisers. ②Establish the manage system for the team that will fit the requirements of the new curriculum revolution. ③Implement Class Adviser Leader policy. ④Create and expand the class adviser's improvement evaluation system. ⑤Reform the schools' management structure: change the current ladder structure to a flat structure. ⑥Promote and focus on the management style of gentleness while building up the class adviser team.
