In the background of the gradually deepening reform of higher education system and the successful operation of Open University, the development of adult college is confronted with new opportunities and challenges. Adult college to be in an impregnable position, it is only through various efforts to enhance their own competitiveness. For adult college, For improving teachers’ level in teaching and scientific research in adult college, promoting the whole construction of adult college and enhancing their core competence, it is great significant to establish a scientific and reasonable performance appraisal system for adult college teachers and to assess teachers’ performance objectively and accurately. In recent years, teachers’ performance appraisal,which has been playing a certain role in the management of adult college teachers. However, there are still a lot of problems. In order to further improve and prefect the appraisal system, to improve the construction and professional skill of teachers and to promote the development of school work, this paper gives some corresponding suggestions by made a large number of research and analysis about the present situation of teacher performance evaluation in HQ Adult University.Through the using of literature review, questionnaire investigation, expert interviews, mathematical statistics, theoretical analysis, induction analysis and conclusion methods, this paper concludes and summarizes the development and research situation of college teachers performance appraisal at home and abroad, and then researches on the teachers performance appraisal system in HQ adult university.With the implementation situation of HQ adult university teachers performance appraisal, through the survey found, there are some problems with the teacher performance appraisal, such as the in-completion of performance appraisal index,simple appraisal ways and forms, untimely appraisal feedback, bad application of appraisal results, etc. with performance appraisal theory and management knowledge,combining with the HQ adult university development goals and characteristics,From the construction of teacher performance evaluation indicators, to determine theperformance appraisal subject, appraisal methods, use the assessment results and other aspects construction of HQ adult university teachers’ performance appraisal system. From strengthening the concept of performance appraisal, strengthen the management of performance appraisal, strengthening the construction of institutionalization of performance evaluation, and constantly improve the performance appraisal system and method, to do a good job in HQ adult university teachers performance appraisal related supporting measures are put forward.
