Design Research Of Electronic Lessons Preparation System Of “Educational Technology Introduction” Based On IMS Learning Design Specification

With the rapid development of information technology in education, the liberation of teachers’ work becomes needed, the preparation of a lesson is a very important link in the teaching process. Therefore, the electronic preparation of a lesson becomes an inevitable trend of modern educational reform. However,nowadays, the electronic preparation process has many problems, for example, the resource of lesson preparation is not open, the way of lesson preparation is not diversified, and scaffolds of lesson preparation are not provided. Based on the above problems and practical requirements of teachers, combined with advanced educatio n theory—IMS Learning Design Specification, this paper designed a new model for lesson preparation, which centered on learning unit and learning activities. According to this model and using related technology and methods, the paper designed and developed a new electronic lesson preparation system which is based on IMS Learning Design Specification. The system provides scaffolds of lesson preparation to improve the efficiency of teacher’s lesson preparation.Based on a large number of literature research, the author analyzes the features of “Educational Technology Introduction” course, learners’ characteristics, learning environment, and the disadvantages of existing lessons preparation mode, and proposes a lessons preparation mode based on IMS Learning Design specification, which centered on learning unit and learning activities. The author focuses on making an elaboration about the characteristics and problems of the existing network electronic lessons preparation system. Based on further improving the existing electronic lessons preparation system, and centering on the new proposed lessons preparation mode based on IMS Learning Design specification, designs an electronic lessons preparation system of “Educational Technology Introduction” course based on IMS Learning Design specification. The author uses Dreamweaver, Edit Plus and other development tools to develop system, and conducts detailed design of development platform, function modules, interfaces, user roles, databases and other parts of the system. Lesson preparation center is the core module of the system, which is divided into several parts including basic information, recommend templates, free templates, content editing, lesson preparation preview and printout to provide scaffolds for lesson preparation. At the same time, the recommend templates section uses intelligent filtering feature, which can recommend the appropriate resources and templates to users according to their needs. Free templates section provides function of intelligent recommendation of steps, which can recommend lesson preparation steps intelligently according to the usage of one step. After completion of the development, the author run and test the system.
