With the rapid development of the society, the competition among the countries is becoming more and more fierce. For China, the key defeating others must be talented, skilled, and competitive people. In order to develop students’ talent, our education system is the most important basic subjects, mathe matics of senior high school is shouldering important responsibility. Math is a subject that will be tested in the college entrance examination, as a result it is focused by teachers, students, parents,even the whole society. In the education reform, teachers are updating their teaching methods, and offer the students colorful activities. In this way, students seem to take active part in learning process. In fact, this kind of teaching and learning is less efficient,even meaningless. In the face of the entrance examination, teachers are still using theories and conclusion, rather than encourage students to practice. Meanwhile, our teaching and learning are still aimed at tests. As a consequence, some students consider math boring, and they lack motivation of math learning. Even some of them haven’t participated in learning activities for a long time, which leads to their poor grades. All of these facts are related to the efficiency of the teaching and learning, so we should take the matter seriously.In order to solve these problems, the author read all kinds of books and devote himself to the theory about the efficiency of students’ math learning. According the survey in No. 2 Senior High School of YiBin County, the author analyses the reason why the students’ learning are influenced. The author tries to explore how the students of high school take part in math learning and why the learning activities takes them so much time. By this means, students can learn math more efficiently, and the teachers can improve their teaching design and methods. So, the teachers can also teach efficiently.In this subject, the author tries to explore the efficient ways and strategy of highschool students’ participating in math learning. It includes the following aspects. First,we should arrange the teaching process according to the students. Second, create an interesting math atmosphere, and we can inspire students’ interest in math learning.What’s more, previewing is important and students should give the students a hand.Next, teachers should carefully design our teaching activities, which can improve the efficiency of students’ learning. Finally, the homework should be bettered, and students may love tale part in math learning. Based on his own case, the author states his strategy.Besides, the author describes the two classes being taught by himself and his own teaching facts. His conclusion is that the cases can prove the strategy contributes to motivating students’ participating in math learning. The strategy can motivate students to spend more time in learning math and can help them learn more efficiently.
