Research On Existing Problems And Countermeasures Of College Students’ Legal Education

The Fourth Plenary Session on the 18th Communist Party of China examined and adopted the decision of CPC central committee on major issues pertaining to comprehensively promoting the rule law, and this is the first time of Party’s central committee to discuss rule of law. The decision put forward that the general target of rule of law is to form a system serving the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics and build a country under the socialist rule of law. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to ensure that all the citizens can get good legal education. College students is a special group of citizens and the backbone of the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, so college students are the focus of the civil law education. Through the college students have grasped some basic knowledge of law according to the legal courses in university, which is the main channel to strengthen the college students legal education, there still is a certain gap to leap. And many stuffs can reflect that there still are some problems in college students legal education, such as the poisoning case of Fudan university and some other cases like that many college students are cheated by online brush order, which have caused whole society concern. Based on the statements of connotation, characteristics, objectives and the relation with ideological and political education of college students legal education and the importance to carry out legal education, this article analyzes the key problems in the college students legal education, tries to find out the reasons and puts forward some improvement measures of college students legal education finally, hoping can help the college students to cultivate legal thoughts and legal faith, and make some contributions to make the college students legal education perfect and to achieve its goal.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is introduction. It mainly states the significance and goal of the research topic, the research at home and aboard, and the adopted methods and innovation.The second part is the general statements of college students legal education. Firstly, it expounds the related concepts and theory basis of college students legal education. Secondly, it states the relationship between college students legal education and ideological and political education. Then it clears the goal of college students legal education. Finally, it points out the profound significance to carry out college students legal education for individuals, schools and the country.The third part points out the problems existing in college students legal education and the reasons. The not ideal education effect, unreasonable education courses, old teaching methods, and weak practice link are all included in the problems. The main causes of these problems include the time behind construction of relevant law, not enough emphasis on college students legal education, and the lack of professional teachers and so on.Aiming at the problems and reasons, combined with the actual situation, the fourth part come up with some feasible suggestions and measures to promote college students legal education in there aspects. And they are creating good campus environment to strengthen law popularization, giving full play to the guiding role of the legal education, and increasing legal practice combining with theory separately.
