| In the 1970 s, an American clinical psychologist named Fredenberger first defined Job Burnout. After this, lots of researchers who were interested in this area did some research deeply on various forms of job burnout. The study of the teachers’ burnout is an important part among them, so a large number of Chinese educationalists have gone into a deep research, and they have made certain achievements. In recent years, with the development of the reform of the education system in our country, we basically have two kinds of schools; the public school and the private school. Different school systems have different environment and pressure which make the two kinds of teachers have various teachers burnout. This research is based on Maslach’s three standard about the occupational burnout which is organized by Maslach. The researcher designed seven factors in the questionnaire, including the type of the schools, the teaching grades, the sex, the teaching years, the title of technical post, the marital status and the subjects. The aim is to get exact data, utilizing the SPSS 22.0 statistics software to analyze the investigation result and compare them through three dimension of job burn-out. The researcher finds out the problems and goes into the reasons why the two different kinds of teachers have got different teachers’ burnout situation through the interviews. The result shows that the senior school teachers are higher than junior school teachers as for depersonalization, especially in the private school. The teachers with professional titles 1 have lower levels of depersonalization than the teachers with the high-ranking, but they have lower sprit of achievement than the teachers with the high-ranking in the public school. The female teachers’ emotional exhaustion is worse than the male teachers, especially in the private school. Comparing with the two types of the school, the researcher finds that more than 20 years’ experiences of the public school teachers have worse emotion exhaustion than those in the private school. Except for these, there are no typical differences among them. Then it hopes to provide some suggestions on the development of the reform of the Chinese education system and the middle school teachers’ professional development and their personal growth. |
