| since Phiden Buger put forward the concept of profession tiredness, it has been more concerned and gradually studied in the teaching field. It's commonly aknowledged that profession tiredness is teachers' extreme response when they cann't deal with the huge pressure from work with the unstable changing of emotion, attitude and behavior. The main symptoms are emotion exhaustion, less personality and low achievement, of which emotion exhaustion is the key and typical one.The author took use of "Meslen's questionnaire of professon tiredness" (revised version) to have a research about 202 teachers in SiChuan Fine Arts Institute and found that the profession tiredness was prevail among those teachers, but it was not so serious. For each individual, the degree of tiredness is to some degree related to the teacher's age, educational qualification, professional rank, the teaching subject and the amount of work per week. For example, in terms of age, comparatively, teachers above 51 is emotionally exhausted with the highest degree, and the opposite group is young teachers under 25. And 46 -50-year-old teachers show more positive attitude toward their students than 26 -30-year-old teachers.The study suggested that many reasons caused teachers' profession tiredness, so all efforts and cooperation from the society and each person are required to solve the problem. And the strategy to relieve teachers' profession tiredness should be multi-level and multi-dimension, with the society holding reasonable expection from teachers, estiblishing a system to support teachers and raise their social positions; with the college stregthening the cultural construction and respecting, caring and supporting teachers; and with teachers themselves facing the profession tiredness positively and taking measures in advance. |
