As to current developing condition of worldwide tertiary education, many developed countries have come across the decrease of quality during the process of development in higher education. However, these countries never stop working on increasing the quality of tertiary education. The survey of undergraduate students’ learning engagement is conducted by the research center of Indiana university which cooperate with high educational research institution of American Indiana university. NSSE’s full name is The National Survey of Student Engagement, and it is established to measure the contributing level of students during their study in order to improve its educational quality. The survey of college students’ learning engagement is laid the foundation for the evaluation of higher education of our country, at the same time also should guarantee the quality of higher education. The survey of college students’ learning engagement is to gather substantial and effective data of students during their learning and to improve the quality of their own quality. Statistical analysis of these data can not only find loopholes during the teaching process, but also put workable solutions into compensation for these vulnerabilities.The purpose pf this paper is using literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method, case studies and other methods to research on the 9 normal majors of Shenyang normal university, analysis of the level of academic challenge, the active and collaborative learning, the student faculty interaction, the enriching educational experience, the supportive campus environment, the richness of own education experience.The analysis revealed:(1) scores in the academic challenge are low;(2) the interaction between students and faculties is not good;(3) gender factors have significant differences in the level of academic challenges, the active and collaborative learning among the student and faculty;(4) different professional has several significant differences in the learning engagement;(5) different grade has some significant differences in the learning engagement;(6) different learning objectives have many significant differences in the learning engagement.According toe results of the analysis, giving the following advice:(1) strengthen students – writing, reading ability, enhance students’ academic challenging;(2) strengthen teacher evaluation system, create a good teacher-student interaction environment;(3) according to the characteristics of science specialty, then improve the degree of learning investment;(4) to avoid the “gender education”, to achieve gender harmony;(5) to understand the characteristics of different grades of students, to adopt different education methods;(6) training students with clear learning objectives, improve the enthusiasm of students learning.
