The relationship between teachers and students has always been a matter of concern to educators. A good relationship between teachers and students is not only the basis of school education, but also an important resource. In the boarding school, the relationship between teachers and students has greatly promoted the education. Due to the particularity of the boarding school education, most of the time, the boarders live with teachers, schools and teachers undertake education, emotional care and the responsibilities of family life to guide students. At this time, if the process of the relationship between teachers and students is not managed well, teachers can not replace parents to cover the lack of family education,life and emotional care, it will have a negative influence on boarders′ student physical, emotional, life and learning.The study was based on the particularity of the boarding primary education, it from educators Van Manen’s "in loco parentis relation" perspective to study the relationship between teachers and students, I am looking to build for the boarding primary school teachers and "in loco parentis relation" type of the relationship between teachers and students. After a deep research on the relationship between teachers and students about the "in loco parentis relation", combined with my teaching experience, I detail a boarding primary school "in loco parentis relation" type of the relationship between teachers and students, including its concept, elements and main features. Then I made an investigation for the boarding primary school through questionnaires and interviews, I analyzed the problems and causes, provide a realistic basis for the construction of "in loco parentis relation" type of the relationship between teachers and students. Finally, I combined the "in loco parentis relation" theory with the actual boarding primary school the relationship between teachers and students. Described the construction of "in loco parentis relation" concept of the type of the relationship between teachers and students, principles, policies and methods. I expect to objectively and comprehensively reflect the boarding primary school "in loco parentis relation" type of the relationship between teachers and students.
