The new curriculum reform of basic education in our country has entered into the stage of full implementation. The situation requires a serious challenge to teachers. It is imperative to improve teachers’ quality. Under the trend of information and globalization in the international community, the international competition makes English more and more important and this results in a more serious requirements of English teachers. Compared to the teachers of other subjects, the quality of rural English teachers is particularly poor. Post job training is an important way to improve teachers’ quality, and it is the most important part of teachers’ education. But the training effect is not satisfactory.This study is based on the questionnaires and interview about the implementation of post job training for English teachers of junior middle school in F County. The purpose is to know the status quo of English teachers’ post job training in F County, and to explore the problems in the process of teachers training and the reasons for these problems. Information obtained through the questionnaires and deep interviews shows the questions as follows: the content of F county junior high school English teachers’ post job training can not meet the actual needs of teachers; the quantity and quality of the training is insufficient; there is a lack of combination of theory and practice; the incentive mechanism is not perfect. The author analyzes the causes of the above problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasures from the departments of education, schools and teachers so that try to provide reference for the improvement of the professional quality of junior English teachers and the effectiveness of teachers’ post job training of F County.
