For a long time, the music education of secondary and primary schools in China is mostly the initiate for students to learn music knowledge and skills, but ignoring music aesthetic education. In order to change this situation, the Ministry of Education(MOE) introduced Music Education Curriculum Standards in 2011, which clearly put forward the educational concept of music aesthetic. The Standards has been carried out for four years. Although it works a lot, there still exist some problems. Foremost, the implementation degree of the Standards is not enough, and the educators haven’t form the core educational idea based on music aesthetics. Most of them still adopt the traditional music teaching methods, instead cultivating the music aesthetics of the middle and primary school students. Moreover, according to The Theory of Multiple Intelligence by Howard Gardner, music education can cultivate students’ intelligence. But the present primary and middle schools don’t develop this intelligence cultivating function. So making a research on music teaching mode is very significant to fully carry out the Music Education Curriculum Standards and to cultivate students’ intelligence.Taking the music education of middle and primary schools as a research object, this paper makes an analysis on the teaching mode of music aesthetic education with the theories of Multiple Intelligence, Constructivism Learning and the Music Education Curriculum Standards. It adopts literature research method, questionnaire survey method and statistical analysis method to approach this problem. At first, this paper discusses the existing problems and the causes of music aesthetic education in middles and primary schools on the basis of the present situation. The problems are mainly reflected in those: the music aesthetic educational concept hasn’t been formed up; music educators are lack of aesthetic quality; music aesthetic education is not cored on aesthetics; the teaching environment and facilities are not sufficient, etc. The main reasons are as following: the restrict of traditional music teaching mode, the restrict of the exam-oriented education, the insufficiency of music educators’ quality, and under-investment of the hardware, etc. And then, this paper designs a new teaching mode, aesthetic and setting up beauty. At last, it puts forward the implementation safeguard and countermeasures to carry out this teaching mode.The significance of analyzing the music aesthetic teaching mode in middle and primary schools is to change the present situation and to instruct the practice of music aesthetic education.
