Into the 20th century Chinese society entered the aging stage, according to the Chinese population aging Development Trend Prediction Research Report released by aging office in 2015, by 2020, China’s aging population will reach 248 million, the level of aging will reach 17.17%. Face to the situation, the 18th CPC National Congress said that it’s nessesory to improve the material and spiritual needs of empty nest elder based on the stable development of economy, but now the social concern on empty nest elder is relatively lower,and there are no sufficient manpower, material and financial resources to solve old-age problem that facing by the empty nest old person.Hefei empty nesters increased significantly, from the aspects of age structure, educational and medical and psychological conditions exhibit different characteristics, resulting very profound influence to Hefei social economic. College students as the main force of social development in the future, in the process of participation in the pension service can play a positive role, and thus increase the sense of social responsibility.Under this background. This paper mainly uses the literature analysis method, research and summarizes the empty nest elderly pension related issues; through the questionnaire and interviews, field survey of empty nest elderly in Hefei city and deeper access to the understanding the living condition of the empty nest elderly in Hefei city, and select the Hefei several representative universities as the sample using questionnaire survey method to understand college students atitude of participating in social service and analysed the related factors. Understanding the affecting factors of students participate in social services by using the method of questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. On this basis, under the background of aging population of empty nest elderly in city scale and pension difficulties are analyzed, elaborated the university student to participate in the urban empty nest elderly care service in the meaning, and college students to participate in the feasibility of urban empty nest elderly care service, and to Hefei City College as an example, analyzes the students’ participating in favorable conditions for urban empty nest elderly care service and summarizes the problem of College Students’ participation in urban empty nest elderly care service in. This topic development can promote the solution of the problem of empty nest elderly in a certain extent, improve the quality of life of the empty nest elderly and to promote their physical and mental development, to the construction of a harmonious society has positive significance. From a theoretical point of view, this study to enrich and improve our empty nesters theoretical research has certain theory value, at present most of the researches are referring to foreign theories, to the foreign related theory introduction and transplantation of application, can be combined with the objective conditions of our country on the localization of less specialized theory.
