With the continuous implement of the new curriculum reform, teachers as the main force in education and curriculum reform have received unprecedented attention. And teacher professional development has become an important topic in the field of education research gradually. Forming group to promote teacher development has been widely recognized by primary and secondary schools for a long time. On behalf of the formal teacher organization and informal teacher organization, teaching and research group and famous teacher studio have played an important role in promoting teacher professional quality in the past time. Influenced by this, Shanghai made a new exploration on teacher professional development through the discipline-team which has achieved some certain results recently. This paper attempts to research on the discipline-team which is a new mode of teacher group from a perspective of teacher leadership.The main research method of the paper is a case-study approach. This paper is a case study of Shanghai Primary Chinese Team. Through ways of participating in Shanghai Primary Chinese Team activities, observing team activities, interviewing team members, researcher collects necessary practical data which associated with curriculum development of Primary Chinese Team. And then researcher sorts out and analyzes these materials so as to explore the operation mode of Primary Chinese Team and know about how it would affect teacher development.The paper reviews some main teacher group including their types and operation modes in China since 1949, summarizing the experience, to gain and loss in the constructions of teacher group. It is also an inquiry into the theory of teacher leadership so as to explore how teacher group builds from a perspective of teacher leadership and form an analytical framework. Accordingly, researcher makes a deep research on the case of Shanghai Primary Chinese Team.On this basis, paper makes some discussions and recommendations about the construction of teacher group at last. The suggestions mainly focus on the background, purpose, content, structure and the operation way of discipline-team. For example, team should focus on the problem of teaching practice and form a flat structure like the network. Also launch a series of activities which is useful to develop cooperation among teachers. Realizing a formula which combines teacher autonomy and team work is very necessary too.
