Investigation In Chongqing City Primary School Reading Situation Of High Grade Language

With the rapid development of human society, the knowledge economy and big data information storm began to change our thinking,learning and life. Education should break through the traditional knowledge transfer and acquisition of basic skills,but also focus on improving students’ literacy and overall core in the era of information explosion of text selection,analysis,understanding and evaluation of reading ability, reading development of thinking,so that students better adapt to contemporary social needs and challenges for talent.In recent years,with the“language curriculum standards”the implementation, high-grade primary school language reading teaching from all levels to study every angle in full swing, everyone’s focus has gradually shifted from the accumulated knowledge to develop habits, ability cultivation up emotion and edification. Chinese reading habits and reading ability of upper elementary compulsory education as a whole, or even a person’s life,it is a critical stage of development, it can not be ignored and should pay particular attention.This study made a reading classroom observation on three primary schools’ 12 high grade language teachersof Chongqing City from teaching objectives,teaching methods and classroom reading content selection, teaching evaluation on the four dimensions; andfromteaching philosophy and objectives, how to cultivatestudents’ interest in reading, requirements on the content and amount of reading, how to guiding students on the teaching process of reading methods and strategies in four dimensions to interview, analysis the Fifth Grade Reading Teaching status quo; at the same time, conducted a questionnaire survey on the three primary schools 570 high school studentsfrom high school students in reading target, interest in reading, reading habits, the content, method of reading on the five dimensions.Results from the survey in Fifth Grade Reading Teaching of Chongqing City,teachers in the teaching of reading achieved the following results:teachers are making progress in teaching philosophywith thetimes’ reform, and focu on combining tne New Curriculum Standard and practice;teachers set specific goals for the teaching of reading, and focu on students’ reading methods;teachers emphasis on group cooperation, and strive to highlight the main body of students in the classroom; teachers’ awareness on the importance of curricular reading is increase gradually, the importance of students’ a fixed reading time and reading amount is expanding;teachers focus on Process Evaluation in classroom.However, we found the following six aspects: reading instruction’s reform appears formalization;the targets are not fully implemented;students are lack of reading programs and initiatives;students are not interest in class reading;students select the contents of the lack of autonomy, and their read thinking fixed;evaluation of student participation is low in the classroom, and lack of learning, thinking initiative;students do not pay attention to emotional expression, lack of reading experience.Accordingly,this study analyzed for common problems in close connection with the new concept of Chinese reading teaching reform, put forward some improvement strategies for teaching reference:teachers should enhance learning on the teaching of reading, and constantly update the concept of teaching reading;the teachers focus on research reading material,and being a fusion of Textbook;teachers should strengthen the cultivation of students’ good reading habits, to achieve reading program and initiative;teachers shouldexpand of reading horizons, strengthen reading contact life;teachers should be read with a variety of teaching strategies, and enhance students’ interest in reading;pay attention to students’ zone of proximal development ", and cultivate students’ focus on awareness of the problem.
