Reading teaching plays an important role in primary school Chinese teaching.Reading texts contain rich cultural connotations.Reading can enable students to travel around the world to see the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland,enable students to understand the living habits of the ancients through time and space,and stimulate students' yearning for future life.Chinese textbooks for primary schools are carefully selected by experts and scholars,and the reading text embodies the wisdom of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign scholars.Chinese reading in primary schools is of great responsibility for cultivating students' abilities and promoting the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation.The research studies the reading teaching of senior grade in H primary school in H city through questionnaire survey and classroom observation.It is found that there are various problems in reading in the senior grades of primary schools,including utilitarian teaching objectives,mechanization of classroom questioning,simplification of teaching methods,superficial teaching contents and modeling of homework assignments,students' low reading ability and lack of reading teaching environment.With the research and generation of foreign core literacy framework,China has gradually set off a wave of "core literacy".In 2014,in the document "Opinions on comprehensively deepening curriculum reform and implementing the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people",the word core literacy was first put forward in China,and the key abilities that students should cultivate were clarified.In2016,Beijing Normal University released the Core Literacy of Chinese Students' Development,which put forward specific requirements for the all-round development of Chinese students.Under the background of core literacy,more and more scholars are integrating core literacy with subject teaching,aiming at promoting students' lifelong development and cultivating students' ability to adapt to society and benefit society.This paper studies the integration of core literacy with Chinese subject teaching,pays more attention to the whole process of reading teaching on the basis of previous studies,analyzes the causes of the present situation of reading teaching from many aspects,and puts forward all-round feasible strategies for implementing core literacy idea in reading teaching.The purpose of this study is to arouse the attention of schools and teachers to the core literacy of Chinese,and to provide reading teaching strategies for front-line teachers.While training students' listening,speaking,reading and writing abilities in reading teaching,we should cultivate students' core Chinese literacy,not only teach students Chinese reading knowledge,but also pay attention to the development of students' comprehensive literacy.
