Chinese teaching in primary school is the basic discipline of basic education,which is characterized by the unity of instrumentality and humanities.Reading teaching is an indispensable part of primary school language teaching and an important part of continuous exploration,reformation and breakthrough seeking.In recent years,the society has advocated reading,reading books,reading good books,reading the whole book,which are received more and more attention.But students get more pressure and less time,which are restricted their extracurricular reading by various conditions.The students in rural school have more problems in reading,such as less reading and lacking of reading skills,which influence their Chinese learning,storage of knowledge and even the development of thinking.The theme reading is based on the teaching objectives of Chinese in primary school.And it is a kind of teaching method to put forward in the teaching reform.Students in elementary school have a lot of space for improvement in information processing,knowledge reserves,personality development,and mental growth.They also want to seek higher progress.The implement of theme reading teaching in high grade of primary school is based on the actual situation of students and the text of the classroom text unit theme.The integrating of variety theme resources can combine the class and extracurricular,so that students can read in different reading themes.Through a flexible teaching form of theme reading,the students may feel the fun of reading and appreciate the meaning of language learning.So students may like reading,and their reading status will be changed.In this study,Xincai County X primary school is the research object of the theme reading teaching practice,combined with the author's in-depth understanding practice in the school.Based on the school environment and the students' learning situation,the author analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the school reading.It is found that although the primary school students are weak in reading ability,they have a strong interest in reading.There are also some problems of the teaching process.In order to solve the above problems,the school in the high-grade of began to implement the theme reading,including the single,group and the whole book reading.The author combined with the two specific teaching cases implemented by the school,to study and analyze them,and found that the students took into practice activity and they were very interested in reading;In the learning,students improved their reading skills and abilities to get comprehensive development.The author also offered some proposals to solve the problems.(1)the essence of the implementation of the subject reading:the continuity of curriculum resources,the flexibility of teaching methods and the ability of students.(2)the principles of the theme reading practice:scientific principles,appropriate principles and principles of innovation.(3)the improvement of theme reading:to improve the ability of teachers,improve the evaluation methods and strengthen the cooperation between home and school.
