As a breakthrough in the reform of school physical education, the youth campus football has carried out since 2009 in all major cities in the country, and it has made gratifying achievements. However, in the vigorous development of the campus football career today, it is inevitable that there are a series of problems. The teachers are one of the most prominent aspects. The construction of football teaching staff is the basic guarantee for improving the quality of campus football and ensuring the healthy and sustainable development of the campus football. The Ministry of Education and sports administration decided jointly that from 2015 to 2020 there will be ongoing national special training for football teachers in order to strengthen the construction of teachers. Since then, the special training of football teachers are formally incorporated into the national training program, to fill the gaps in the domestic sports special skills training.In this paper, the literature review, questionnaires, interviews and other research methods are used, combining with the constructivism learning theory and adult learning theory. More than 800 football teachers participated in the national youth campus football in East China Normal University were investigated. Through questionnaires, interviews and the author’s classroom observation, specific and detailed research were conducted from the aspects of basic information, basic knowledge and training achievements.Through the investigation and analysis of the results of the study, the following conclusions are drawn:1.Gender imbalance. The training teachers are of different ages and higher level of educational background, but most of them did not major in sports.2.Teacher training opportunities between urban and rural areas showed significant differences. Training teachers worked in the middle schools in the towns are the majority, football teachers in rural schools seldom take part in training.3.Participation teachers show the football teaching innovation ability is insufficient, and sports level and learn special significant effects on the teaching innovation, whether in the past participated in training, and participated in training the number of times on its teaching innovation ability is not significant.4.Most training teachers have positive attitudes, the purpose is pure, football teaching design ideas and methods and football teaching basic skills and teaching skills is the desire of the training content, practice, practice and learning view is the most popular with the form of training, foreign football experts and a good teacher is the most looking forward to the teacher, and the optimal training time about 15 days.5.Training in the teaching ability, teaching cognitive and teaching schedule for the participation teachers all had a positive effect, also had a reference meaning to the training work in the future.
