With the large-scale enrollment expansion of colleges and universities and a surge in the number of college graduates, college students’ employment has been a concerned topic from all walks of life, which will affect the stability of the society and the development of national economy. The social environment has led to many changes taken place on the expectation of college students’ future career. Part-time work has been one of the most important channels for college students to have a better understanding of the society and their future occupation, which will also affect different career orientation of college students. Therefore, research on contemporary college students’part-time jobs and career expectations and the possible relationship between them is very helpful and meaningful to understand the changes on college students’ employment choices under the circumstances of the internal social education reform and external recruitment requests.To understand the specific situation of the current students’part-time work and career expectations and the relationship between part-time employment experiences and employment expectation, this research adopts the questionnaire survey on college students in five universities in W city to collect relevant data, using descriptive statistical analysis, the reliability and validity test, correlation analysis, independent-sample T test, variance analysis and regression analysis to analyze the data via analysis software SPSS.Through the analysis, the researcher found that the college part-time experiences do not have some significant impacts on college students’ career expectations, but it does have some influences on their career planning. Most students who have some part-time experiences will be more likely to choose to work after graduation and have considered much more about their career planning. Meanwhile, the research concluded that schools, grades, political affiliation and father education degree have significant influences on college students’ career, which will be the factors of college students’ career expectation. Based on the results of this study, the paper puts forward some corresponding suggestions in the perspective of students to promote the college students’ employment at the end of this paper.
