From 1898 to 1922, with the impact of government policy, girls’education was separated from the boys’in China. Textbooks for girls were published in larger amount and better ranged. Modern intellectuals were shocked for the fail of wars with western countries and Japan. They moving on and took the initiative to accepted western ideology and culture. This study is based on photocopies of female’s Chinese textbook in Qing Dynasty and early Republic China, in order to get first-hand research data. At the same time, take imagology to outlined exotic female image features involved in girls’Chinese textbooks, analyze the dual character of exotic female image for Saying Others and represent self, and to analyze the impact of exotic female image for Chinese society, and ponder its limitations.The introduction of this article outlines the current study of the modern female education, academic research on textbook issue, and defines the core concepts involved in the text.
