Professionalization and specialization has become a hot issue in the management of college counselor team. The healthy development of college students, the stability and development of the school, and the sustainable development of the counselors can’t be separated from the professionalization and specialization of the counselors. The management of counselor’s professionalization and specialization is an important guarantee for strengthening ideological and political education of college students and to maintain the stability of colleges and universities, the effectiveness of student work in universities and of college talent training quality has a crucial impact.Counselors professionalization and specialization management, can promote much better development of counselors, improve counselors’ professional skills, counselor team stability, conducive to the long-term development, and conducive to the students good growth in university. However, how to solve the problem of the management of the counselor’s team, to explore the new mechanism of the management of the counselor team, is imminent. To solve this problem, the author thinks that it must promote the counselors’ professionalization and specialization management. At present, the counselors professionalization and specialization has become more and more ideological and political theory of education administration and universities’ attention, the nation have also introduced College Counselors’ professionalization ability standard.The author combines his eight years working practice, explores and researches to Yanching Institute of Technology team professionalization and specialization management. At present, the research of many scholars is more about instructors to discuss. This article studies on the management point of view, discussing the Yanching Institute of Technology Counselors professionalization and specialization management. And it discusses from the connotation of counselors professionalization and specialization management, bases on the theory of career management and incentive, uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate the Yanching Institute of Technology counselors’ first-hand materials, and studies on Yanching Institute of Technology of counseling staff management status. With the help of Porter Lawler model, the model analysis method to analyze the essential elements of the counselors’ professionalization and specialization development, combining with the essential elements and investigation statistical data, this paper finds out the major problems from analyzing counselors of Yanching Institute of Technology professionalization and specialization management. We can obtain main problems existing in the Institute counselors professionalization and specialization management, that the career orientation are not clear, professional ability should be improve, the team is not stable and mechanism is not perfect and so on. In view of the problems existing, it proposed effective advice that positioning clear, and strengthen management; improving the quality, realizing the specialization; optimization professional environment, fostering a sense of achievement; and improving the mechanism, promoting professionalization of Yanching Institute of Technology counselors professionalization and specialization management.
