Research On Routes Of College Counsellor's Specialization In China

It has been emphasized to the development of college counsellor team by several departments in our country, and the key point is the development of counsellor's specialization. National No.16 in 2004 and several related documents have provided policy support for it, meantime some colleges and scholars have done some research on the practical exploration and theoretical investigation. Some achievements have received. On the whole, it has never formed the workable systems and the admissive standards and models.This thesis which is based on"counsellor post"constructs the theoretic patterns according to theory of path dependence, theory of the social division of labor and human all-round development theory. And the study will not only compare the student affairs development with America and Britain but also combine with the facts of the counsellor questionnaire to provided references for the counsellor's specialization of our country. Finally, it illustrates the routes of the counsellor's specialization development from three aspects: the affairs the counsellor responsible to, the key competencies and the own development of the counsellor team.This thesis includes five parts, the main contents are following below:The first part is the introduction where the reasons, purpose and meaning to choose this topic will be introduced. And it mainly introduces the internal and external situation of this study, and gives a conclusion to the existing problems. And then it gives the illustrations on research contents, research methods and technology route. At last the conceptions concerned with specialization are defined.The second part is the theory construction. In this part, it will build the theory pattern according to the theory of path dependence which is the basis of setting the role of counsellor, theory of the social division of labor which is the basis of discussing the standards of professional maturity and human all-round development theory which is the basis of reflecting the professional autonomy and emphasizing the development of counsellor, and discuss the specialized standards.The third part is about the specialization development and inspiration from theexternal college student affairs administration. This section not only studies the specialization of student affairs administration of America and Britain but also makes a comparison with Chinese facts. Some revelations are learned. The fourth part is the investigation. In this part the counsellor's specialization questionnaire has been designed to investigate the real situation about counsellor's specialization. And the thesis has analysed the problems, find the reasons and effects.The fifth part is the construction of college counsellor's specialization. This part mainly illustrates three aspects. The first aspect is the affairs that counsellor charged and the affairs include clarifying the orientation of college counsellor, setting the full-time counsellor and clearing the specialization requirements of full-time counsellor according to different post. The second aspect is to standardize the technological requirements which mainly include establishing the access system, the professional qualities and the professional ethics of college counsellor. The third aspect is to improve the own development of counsellor which is mainly by the way of setting the training system, establishing the positional system. By the means of these methods, the thesis can build a complete developing route.
