Situation Investigation Research On The “Sunshine Sports” Of Primary And Middle Schools In Rural Areas Of Hubei Province

Seven years has passed Since 2007, when the "sunshine sports" campaign starts up. Many schools have enthusiasm at the beginning,but hard to avoid bottlenecks in the implementation process. What’s worse, compared with urban schools, the bad conditions in teachers level and schools, the rural primary and middle schools in Hubei province face more difficulties and challenges in constantly carrying out "sunshine sports" campaign.This research used the literature material method, mathematical statistics method, questionnaire survey method, field survey method, interview method, observation method, etc, holding 10 rural primary and secondary schools,which belongs to five areas in Hubei province. Research results show that: 1. The number of rural primary and secondary school PE teachers in Hubei province,which is equipped with professional skills is small, becoming a matter of urgent doubt; 2.It remains to be strengthened in propaganda "sunshine sports" campaign and the understanding of sports of both teachers and students, some schools still hasn’t launch ceremony of "sunshine sports" campaign, the traditional propaganda ways were narrow and inefficient; 3. Heavy study burden, bad equipment condition is the main factors of rural school "sunshine sports"; 4. Morning exercises, the big recess, school sports-meeting are the most common and the only extracurricular sports activities of rural schools in Hubei province; 5. Few rural schools in Hubei province has student physical tests every year, even if there is a physical test, the test instruments are rough, standards are board, process supervision is not strict, test characteristics are not obvious, and almost no physical test winners get praised; 6. The practical effects and parents support of "sunshine sports" campaign in Hubei rural primary and secondary schools are the present main problems.In order to promote rural schools continue carrying out "sunshine sports" movement, this research put forward the following suggestions: 1. Encouraging PE teachers to develop themselves consciously, and organize professional training to improve teaching skills, to help PE teachers using existing conditions to enrich their study opportunities; 2. Strengthen propaganda of physical exercise and "sunshine sports",improving the schools, parents, society’s understanding of sports, eliminate the "intellectual education sports" wrong ideas about sports, in order to promote the common concern of the whole society,and strengthen the foundation of the power of "sunshine sports" campaign; 3.Improving the organization network of physical test, promoting the connectionsbetween school sports,social sports,and family sports; 4.Encouraging schools to set up the mechanism of supervision, improve the incentive system for the comprehensive implementation of students "reach standards for superior strength", and provide institutional and organizational support the for "sunshine sports" campaign.
