The Exploration Of Medical Group Work Intervention In Alzheimer’s Patients

This article is a substantive research on medical group work intervention in Alzheimer patients. Recently, the prevalence rate of Alzheimer, which is commonly known as senile dementia, keeps growing year by year. Besides heart disease, cancer and stroke, the Alzheimer has already become "the forth leading killer" that results in death among aged people. With the change of modern medical pattern, the patient-centered non-drug treatment come into existence, such as acupuncture therapy, psychosocial and social treatment, rehabilitation training, etc, which achieve the transformation from single treatment to overall Treatment.Medical group work is a kind of non-drug treatment, but the usage of treatment of medical group work intervention in Alzheimer is still at the stage of theoretic exploration, which is short of practical experience. In view of current situation, the author carried out a research experiment. With the reference of existing research at home and abroad, this article mainly discusses the following problems:whether medical group work has influence on the rehabilitation of Alzheimer patients. If so, it will produce positive impact or negative impact. This article also includes the exploration on the treatment results of medical group work for Alzheimer.During the days working in the X hospital in Beijing, the author took care of the alzheimer patients as a medical group worker, which makes the author deeply felt the pain that Alzheimer patients suffered and the mental distress on both patients and their families. Therefore, the author decided to adopt the professional method of medical group work involvement in the treatment of Alzheimer patients. For the reason that the daily nursing care is closely related to the patients’situation, so this inquiry service object adopted the method of group work and divided the subjects into two groups, namely patients group (8 people) and caregivers (8 people), and then carried out professional intervention activities at the same time. The article recorded the data before and after the intervention. The index of patients are MMSE and BBS, meanwhile, the index of caregivers are CBI and PAC. According to the contrast of the data before and after the intervention, the score of MMSE of patients got an average increasement of 1.38 points, while the score of BBS got an average reduction of 0.94 points:the score of CBI of caregivers got an average reduction of 13 points, while the score of PAC got an average increasement of 12 points. The experimental results show that the group of patients and the group of caregivers both have achieved the expected goal.This paper explores the dilemma of medical social works intervention in the treatment of Alzheimer and puts forward corresponding countermeasures based on the research experiment. Finally, the author comes to the following conclusions. The medical group work intervention has positive effects on controlling and improving Alzheimer, in the meantime, the intervention in caregivers of Alzheimer patients also indirectly improves the patients’condition. However, it does not imply that one must do nothing else about Alzheimer. We should establish scientific cognition, adopt the treatment combining medication and non-medication methods, which will achieve delaying deterioration of Alzheimer.
