The constant deepening development of high school political course has imposed higher requirement on both teachers and students; now in this information explosion age, particularly, students have various media and channels to know and understand this society, thus making it more complicated for the shaping of high school students’ outlook on life and viewpoint of value. High school time is critical for the mental maturity of students, and political course plays a crucial role in helping them know, understand and analyze this society. As teachers decide the course content and execute the teaching task, so how they implement the course not only affects students’ acquisition of knowledge, but also has direct influence on their physical and mental development. Therefore, improving high school political teachers’ course execution is of great importance according to the requirement of new curriculum reform and the development of students. This paper tries hard to probe into the main problems of high school teachers’ course execution and the corresponding resolves and strategies in four aspects.This paper, starting off from specific teaching process, recons that the course execution refers to the capability that high school political teachers, by what they have got, with the guide of curriculum objectives and standards, render the purposes of political course with what they can make use of from inside and outside the schools while carrying out the course. The author holds that how political teachers grasp policies, how they analyze new curriculum, how they develop curriculum resource, how they execute teaching and how they evaluate curriculum constitute their course execution. Secondly, the author, through classroom observation and interviews after class, from the five aspects of course execution, explores the main problems of high school teachers’ course execution; analyzes the relevant primary causes from intrinsic reasons of teachers and is based on objective factors. Lastly, the article, on the basis of the problems and influence factors of the course execution, gives corresponding resolves and strategies.
