This study based on the reality of the rural areas, which H Township, Xuanhan County, Sichuan Province is one of these places. To 716 3-6 year old children’s parents and some teachers as the research object. Combined with stochastic interviews, literature research and other methods to get known the status of rural children’s snack consumption.To discuss the problems further, and propose appropriate recommendations based on the existing circumstance. The research conclusion is as follows:(1)The average absorbted quantity of snacks in rural areas is high. About 40% children status of rural teenagers’ snack consumption are pessimistic, the first problem is that the average absorbted quantity more than 3 times a day. The way for children to get the snack are from the corner store on their school ways which are illegally offer to sale; snacks which ate by Rural children often with low nutrients; Rural children eat snacks in wrong time and place; their habits are not health; Generally speaking, the main factor of rural parents considered in providing snacks for children is the needs of children, rather than food safety and health.(2)The further analysis would from four aspects. One is the reason from the government supervision department. Lack of supervision of rural food regulatory authorities. The huge blank of food supervision is the main reason. The second reason is from kindergarten and preschool teachers are lack of educational methods of nutrition knowledge. Teachers are lack of communications of nutrition education with students’ parents. The third problem is due to the media. The media has mislead the information of junk foods. The last one is the influences from the parents. Parents are not show a positive example to their kids. They have no idea how to prevent their kids from junk foods’ harming.(3)According to above, this paper proposed that the government should be the main point to be upgraded first. Then is the kindergarten and township health clinic begin to process the health promotion program. The kindergarten could use various of methods to improved nutrition health education to young children. The parents should show a first move to develop good diet habits, and reduce the television time for their kids.
