It is an important and necessary literacy for people today to have the critical thinking. At a time where information resources inflate unceasingly, people are faced with all sorts of ads every day. So, how to get healthy and effective ads? It is the habits of critical thinking that people should have, that is to say, people are used to holding a critical thinking to recognize and think about what they have seen and heard.From a perspective of thinking habit, the author makes an initial research on concepts, character and teaching strategy of critical thinking of senior high school students on mathematics. Firstly, having analyzed the research on critical thinking,thinking habits and critical thinking habits at home and abroad, the author clarifies the value of this study. Secondly, integrating the concepts of critical thinking with thinking habits, the author defines the critical thinking habits of senior high school students on mathematics. Besides, he divides them into seven dimensions to further analyze the feature of critical thinking habits of high school students. Lastly, through questionnaire analysis on critical thinking habits in high school mathematics teaching,the author comes up with the ideas that how to develop the critical thinking habits on mathematics.Through the questionnaire survey, the author finds that the overall level of critical thinking habits is at a moderate to inferior level. According to the scores, the dimension can be prioritized in order as follows: intellectual curiosity, rational assessment, logic emphasis, seeking understanding, retrospection and cognition,rational adventure and positive strategy. Comparing the score of each dimension with the overall score, the author finds that the score of intellectual curiosity, rational assessment and logic emphasis are higher than the overall score, and seeking understanding, retrospection and cognition, rational adventure and positive strategy are lower than the overall score. Above all, the author finds that high school students have some difficulties in seeking understanding, retrospection and cognition, rationaladventure and positive strategy. Then, the author summarizes the detail problems in these four dimensions, and makes the following strategies according to the problems.Firstly, To create the opportunity for students to seek the understanding of mathematics, which is the foundation to develop the critical thinking habits on mathematics. Discussion-based teaching method, trial-and-error teaching method and fault-finding teaching method can be taken. Secondly, To offer the chance for students to retrospect and acknowledge something. It is necessary to focus on class summary and self-examination, in order to make the deficiencies perfect. Thirdly, To provide space for students to finish the rational adventure. The key to grasp the critical thinking habits on mathematics is to build a relaxing and harmonious atmosphere and create an encouragement type teaching. Fourthly, To create conditions for students to make positive strategies. Among the appoarch to exploring the critical thinking habits on mathematics, some teaching methods are accessible, such as, one question with multiple solutions and inquiry-based teaching method.Above all, the author can present and analyze the case for the typical teaching case, such as discrete type random variables and their distribution sequences. In this way, the author hopes to benefit students’ critical thinking habits on mathematics and provide help for front-line math teachers on teaching design, which plays a leading part in educational reform in maths in the future.
