Reading and imagination are independent of each other, but are related closely. Reading provide a rich image and accumulate imagery to the students,and imagination can enrich students’ reading. In the reading teaching, teachers can guide students to use imagination to reading, students with the accumulation of life and reading to recreate the contents, it emphasizes that students should have independent reading experience, so as to promote the purpose of developing students’ imagination in teaching reading.In junior high school, students’ imagination is the most active, it is the best time to cultivate and develop students’ imagination, but it is often ignored. Because the actual reading teaching already by all kinds of test standards and assessment rules decide in advance, teachers teach for teaching, students learn for learning, neglect the cultivation of imagination, which is the biggest problem in the cultivation of students’ imagination in the teaching of Chinese reading in junior high school. The reason is mainly the "picture" cultural environment constraints, the teachers own quality restrictions as well as one-sided pursuit of reading teaching examination function.Developing students’ imagination in the teaching of Chinese reading in junior middle school, not only has the psychology, literature and art, educational psychology as the theoretical basis, but also the reality of the Chinese curriculum standard requirements. In the teaching of reading, through the comparison reappearance imagination, situation creation imagination and expand the imaginary method to cultivate students’ reproductive imagination ability, through prototype inspired imagination and hypothesis speculated that imagination imagine method to cultivate the students’ creative imagination.In the junior middle school language reading teaching to cultivate students’ imagination can not only stimulate students interest in learning, develop students’ thinking in images, to enrich the students’ thoughts and feelings, improve the students’ reading ability, also helped to improve the teaching level of teachers, improve the efficiency of the teaching of reading.
