Research On Social Work’s Intrevention For Rural Poverty Alleviation In Wugong County

The poverty problem in rural area has attracted much attention from the society, the poverty alleviation and development implemented by the government is the main anti-poverty measure in rural areas of China. The government focus on improving the basic living conditions and developing productive forces in the poor area to low down the poverty population. Even after some exploration and innovation, any mode of the poverty alleviation and development has not get rid of the administrative policy drawbacks, which restricted the effect and development of poverty alleviation. With the new stage development of targeted poverty alleviation policy, more and more scholars have began to pay attention to the role of social work plays in anti-poverty field.The professional social work originated from the practice of coping with the related social problems caused by poverty in the process of industrialization. Recent years, social work gradually rises in China, it developed on the basis of western exploration achievements combining the social reality in China.Firstly, the author introduced the research background, purpose and significance of the topic and summarized the research status at home and abroad. The research foundation, methods and innovations of this paper are elaborated. Secondly, it reviewed the development course of poverty alleviation in China and analyzed the necessity and feasibility of social work intervention. Based on a thorough investigation on the current situation of poverty and anti-poverty of Wugong County in Xianyang City, this paper, aiming at the present problems, selected typical cases to carry out the social work from different levels.In macro level, the author took part in the process of poverty alleviation and development work in this region personally, then feedback the existing problems and reasonable suggestions to the local authorities; In the medium level, the community work principles and methods are adopt to help the poor raise income level through developing the industry and get rid of poverty as soon as possible.In the micro level, on the basis of social work theory, the case work principles and professional theories are used to analyze the current mental state and living conditions of the poor, after this we can summarize the deep cause of poverty to help the poor get rid of the weak position and obtain various resources from social life, then they can restore the ability of self-development.The social work adoption at rural poverty alleviation and development in Wugong County has enriched the mode of rural poverty alleviation and development and promoted the poverty alleviation development in this region. This research would also provide valuable information for the practical research on social work adopt in the poverty alleviation and development field in rural areas.
