Design And Implementation Of Network Teaching System For Jiangyang Secondary Vocational School

In recent years, with the rapid development of network technology, research on network teaching system becomes more and more important. Network teaching system based on web becomes a carrier of information with the help of the Internet, thus we need to build an autonomous and distributed teaching environment. So, with the popularization of Internet, Web-based network teaching will become one of the most important teaching mode of education in the future. For vocational schools, because of the big difference from ordinary high school in their education and connotation, a lot of ordinary high school’s network teaching system is not suitable for vocational education, therefore, a network teaching system for vocational education is needed to set up.This paper takes Jiangyang vocational school’s network teaching system(hereinafter: the network teaching system) for an example, described the study of network teaching system status, purpose and significance of the research based on the current secondary vocational education and the development of information management in China. After comparative analysis of the technologies associated with this system, we ultimately choose the JAVA programming language, SQLserver database and B/S architecture for design and development. Through in-depth investigation and analysis of characteristics of network teaching system in secondary vocational schools, we analyzed and designed the system in detail, and we obtained the functional and non-functional requirements of the network teaching system. We also analyzed the feasibility and safety of the system using UML modeling analysis. We arrived at the overall design within the overall objectives, design principles and the overall framework, and designed the modules, databases and security based on the actual conditions. After the design is complete, we set out to implement the system. This papers focus on login function, teaching course resources uploading, establishing, management, course selecting, communication, news announcement management, and express the specific implement process of network teaching system. We test the whole system, such as interface test, form test, function test, security test, and stress test and so on. Finally this paper shows the summary and perspective.This system will provide teachers and students in Jiangyang Vocational Middle School a full range of online teaching and learning services. Comparing with existing online teaching systems, our system is more comprehensive, easier to use, and has better portability because of its modular design. Its functions and sub-systems are particularly designed for vocational middle schools. Teachers and students will find it more active, energetic and effective while using this system. It’ll also be a useful reference to other online teaching programs in vocational middle schools.
